At OS Clinic, you should expect to have a seamless journey in making a diagnosis, starting early management to deal with your injury and planning next steps.
One of the most common injuries sustained on the slopes is an Anterior Cruciate Ligament (ACL) rupture. Traditional techniques replace the torn ACL with using a ligament from another part of your knee including either a hamstring, patellar or quadriceps tendon. While our surgeons are well versed with all these techniques, another option that has been advancing is repairing the ACL. This mean, using the existing ACL and fixing it back to wear it has come from. This gives the obvious advantages of not having to take a tendon from elsewhere whilst providing quicker recovery.
Our winter sports injury clinic offers you a one part MRI and a consultation with one of our consultants for an all-inclusive price of £800, allowing you to get a diagnosis and discuss a full treatment plan. Depending on availability, these can be arranged on the same day, this will be discussed when you call to book your appointment.
For patients who have already had an MRI scan and are looking for a discussion on treatment options or a second opinion, you can book an appointment with a consultant, bringing along your scans for them to review.
