Paying for yourself at OS Clinic means you can:
Just call us to discuss the next steps.
Before your first appointment, we’ll send you more detailed information about our services. This complies with Competition and Markets Authority (CMA) regulations. We will ask for payments upfront before your appointments.
Who’s covered?
Anyone can self-pay for treatment at OS Clinic, whether they have private medical insurance or not. In some cases, insured patients choose to self-pay so they can access care that isn’t covered by their insurance plans.
What’s covered?
Paying for your own treatment means you can make an appointment to see the consultant of your choice when it suits you. There are no limits to the range of orthopaedic services available, with fast access to some of London’s most prestigious hospitals and clinics for treatment and surgery.
Can I still use the NHS?
Some people use both private and NHS services for their treatment. And that’s fine. Your status as an NHS patient won’t be affected by paying for private healthcare. Paying for yourself means choosing which treatments you have with OS Clinic and which are provided by the NHS.
No hidden extras
We’ll always be open and transparent about the fees involved in your treatment and provide a detailed cost breakdown before you proceed. This includes a fixed price for your first appointment with one of our team of consultants. We’ll also give you the estimated costs of any diagnostic tests, such as an X-ray, MRI, or ultrasound scans that may be recommended. These tests can often be carried out on the same day or scheduled at a time convenient to you.
If you need surgery, most hospitals offer fixed-price packages that include the fees for your surgeon, nurses, theatre time, anaesthetist (if required), medication, and your private room. Your hospital will update you directly about their prices, and it’s normal for the cost of this care package to be paid in full before your surgery.
Making it affordable – flexible finance options
You can pay upfront before your scheduled procedure or opt for one of the hospital’s finance options. That means you can pay for your course of treatment and any aftercare in affordable monthly instalments.
